The Ada Star Tutorial PDF - Peyote Stitch - Geometric Beadwork
Everyone loves a Peyote star pattern! I noticed that the majority of these beautiful stars have five points, generally - so I thought - why not six points? Feeling inspired I decided to take the already 3D accepted peyote star to another dimension! This is the resulting design. I have named the star 'Ada' after my beautiful Aunt, who died at a very young age, so sadly I never had chance to meet her. In addition the name 'Ada' is said to mean nobility and also has a connection to 'Adelaide' where I was born.
The tutorial provides step by step instructions, with very clear colour photographs for this beautiful star. You can bead it in any colour way you choose as the pattern is based on a warped peyote square. The choice is yours! It is designed to be suspended as an ornament for a Christmas tree but will happily sit by itself for display.

This ornament is approximately 5.5cm/2.25" at the widest point and 8cm/3.25" in height when finished.

The tutorial is comprehensive and clear - 23 pages, 41 steps and 80 clear colour photographs!
I would advise this is an Advanced beading tutorial. I am confident that an Intermediate beader, looking for something a little challenging, will also be able to accomplish this tutorial as I have included as many helpful hints and tips as I can. Also, I am here to help for those of you trying to tackle something a little more difficult!
You should be comfortable working in component form, peyote, circular peyote, and starting and ending new threads. Please bear in mind that this tutorial is not a 'quick' make - and will require patience and time to complete successfully! I can assure you that every bead stitched is VERY worth the outcome! ...
