The Lulana Star - Tutorial - Peyote Stitch - Geometric Beadwork

£7
9.5cm diameter x 2.5cm/1" depth | Miyuki Delica Beads & Seed Beads
This is the Lulana Star - a peyote star pattern and tutorial with a difference! Peyote stars are a wonderful way to adorn any Christmas Tree but they also make beautiful window ornaments. The innovative and intriguing Lulana Star is more challenging than most.

The name Lulana means Shining Moon, Guiding Star and Winner. The name is also of Zulu origin I believe. I was actually intrigued to find that in 'numerology' the number for Lulana is 7... so I began counting how many instances of '7' occur in the design - and there are far more than you might at first think! As you work the tutorial I hope you enjoy discovering them all...

PLEASE NOTE: The Adobe PDF file will be forwarded attached to a personal email from me, within 24 business hours - usually it is much quicker! The file size is approximately 16.4MB.

The tutorial is comprehensive and clear - 18 pages, 30 steps and 60 clear colour photographs!
The tutorial provides step by step instructions, with very clear colour photographs for this beautiful star. You can bead it in any colour way you choose. The choice is yours! This star is designed to be suspended.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS IS A BEADED ORNAMENT AND NOT A TOY!

Beading Level: Expert

It is also very important that you have the ability to 'vary' your tension as you WILL need to bead tightly and softly (although for different components)... If you are unsure AT ALL - PLEASE GET IN TOUCH BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!

You should be comfortable working in component form, peyote and starting and ending new threads.
If you would like advice on the quantity of beads required to make the Lulana star please do feel free to get in touch.
